Aaron Zucker, Interim Managing Director
MassChallenge is a global network, open to startups across any industry
Adjacent to the Machane Yehuda market in Jerusalem, MassChallenge is one of Israel's largest, most diverse, and most international acceleration programs. It is the local version of one of the largest accelerators in the world, and its Israeli start-up competition winners receive an all-expenses-paid roadshow to the U.S. focusing on building relationships and networks.
The focus of MC’s core acceleration program is industry agnostic with occasional options for sectorspecific focused tracks which have included sustainable foods, deep-tech, health-tech, ed-tech and others. They have a strategic focus on high impact emerging categories. After a screening process of a few judging rounds where they are evaluated by professional judges from MC's pool of volunteers, the selected startups participate in a four-month industry-agnostic accelerator.
The Managing Director (interim) of MC Israel is Aaron Zucker who had served on the organization’s board prior to taking this role. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sapir Venture Partners, an early-stage deep-tech micro-VC, and a 5-time founder himslef. “The Israeli ecosystem, as well as MassChallenge, is powered by the spirit of cooperation and volunteerism," Aaron says. "Experts and mentors share knowledge, experience, and network, in support of growing companies. We strongly believe that
relationships matter, and that's why we put an emphasis on peer-to-peer mentorship and fostering a community of MassChallenge Israel alumni.”
MassChallenge works with more than 120 brands, governments, and entities throughout the world from the US Airforce to Universal Music and many, many others. It takes no equity from the startups they support and is open for startups across any industry.
